How to Apply: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Start here. Follow these steps, and you’ll know exactly what to do next!

Before anything else, submit your general college application.
Once accepted, you’ll receive:
Student ID
Access to your student portal

Attend a Mandatory Information Session for the Current Admission Cycle and Complete your PTA Application.
Register for Info Session
(Call One Stop - ext 2484)
This is required to apply to the PTA program. At the session, you’ll receive:

The current Admission Guide
Deadlines and selection details
Additional details about a career as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

You may apply at any time; however, all requirements must be completed by the stated deadlines to be considered for the current admission cycle.
Requirements include:
Prerequisite coursework
Minimum academic standards
Participation in an interview
Any additional criteria outlined in the Admission Guide
📌 Applicants who meet the prerequisite requirements will be invited to participate in an interview. Please refer to the PTA Admission Guide for additional details.

Top-ranked applicants will receive an offer of admission
To secure a spot, applicants must officially accept their seat
After acceptance, detailed information will be shared, including registration steps, course schedules, and required textbooks

New cohort begins each Fall semester (only once per year)
Attend orientation
Begin coursework with your cohort

Before starting clinical coursework, you’ll complete:
Background check
10-panel drug screen
Immunizations
Physical exam
Additional health requirement
