Counseling Services

Unsure how you’re feeling? Take an Online Mental Health Assessment. Aiberry provides anonymous mental health check-ins—no login is required.  This screening tool is not a substitute for an evaluation by a mental health professional. Please schedule an appointment with a counselor for further evaluation.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone.

College is a time of growth, transition, and challenge. Whether you’re navigating stress, relationships, identity, academics, or something you can’t quite put into words, we’re here for you.

Morton College Counseling Services provides a confidential, supportive space where you can talk openly, explore your experiences, and build tools to move forward with clarity and confidence. The Counseling offices are located in the One Stop Center. Office hours are 8 am – 4 pm, with the office being closed on Friday during the summer months. To request Counseling Service please email PersonalCounseling@morton.edu or call 708-656-8000, ext. 2250. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911.

What We Help With

Students come to counseling for many reasons, including:

  • Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm

  • Depression or low motivation

  • Relationship concerns

  • Identity exploration (racial, cultural, gender, sexual, spiritual)

  • Academic pressure or burnout

  • Family challenges

  • Life transitions

  • Feeling stuck, uncertain, or alone

You do not need to be in crisis to seek support.

So, does this cost anything?

Nope. Counseling is free for all currently enrolled students. You’ve already paid tuition — this support is part of your campus resources. No hidden fees. No insurance is required. Your mental health matters — and cost shouldn’t be a barrier.

Confidentiality

Your privacy matters. Conversations in counseling are confidential and will not appear on your academic record. Information is only shared in rare situations required by law (such as risk of harm to yourself or others). We are happy to explain confidentiality in more detail during your first visit.

Counseling Options

We offer two ways to connect — choose what works best for you. Prefer face-to-face support? We’ve got you.

Meet with a counselor in a private, comfortable space right here on campus. In-person sessions can feel grounding and personal, especially if you like being physically present with someone while you talk things through. To schedule an in-person appointment, click the link and complete the required paperwork. Once it is received, a counselor will reach out to you with an appointment time. Bi-lingual counselors are also available upon request.
