Whether you are a new student coming directly from high school, a current student navigating your academic program, transferring from another institution, or returning to college after taking a break, Academic Advising at Morton College is here to guide you! Our Student Success Coaches provide personalized guidance, support informed decision‑making, and help you stay on track toward your academic, career, and transfer goals.
In your advising session, Student Success Coaches help you with academic and educational planning, including course selection and degree mapping, to keep you on track toward your goals. They also support graduation and transfer planning, explain college policies, and connect you with campus resources to promote your overall success.

Panther Pathways are built to make it easier for you to stay on track, graduate on time, and get where you're going—whether it’s launching your career or transferring to a university—without the guesswork or hassle! We currently offer three options: Criminal Justice Pathway, Health Sciences Pathway, and a Transfer Pathway.
Meet Your Student Success Coach
At Morton College, every student is assigned a Student Success Coach based on the first letter of their last name to guide them throughout their academic journey. Your coach offers guidance, information, and support, while you are setting goals, asking questions, and following your academic plan. To get the most out of advising, students are encouraged to come prepared, stay engaged, and meet with their coach regularly to remain on track toward graduation or transfer.

How to Schedule an Advising Appointment
Students can stop by the One Stop Center on the first floor of Building B, where a staff member at the Welcome Desk can add you to the walk‑in list or help schedule an appointment with a Student Success Coach. Appointments are available in person or by phone and typically last 15–30 minutes, depending on your needs. You can also schedule by calling 708‑656‑8000, ext. 2484, or by emailing onestop@morton.edu to request an appointment.

Student Success Coaches provide information on college policy, the College Catalog, and refer students to appropriate campus resources.

Student Success Coaches assist students with meeting graduation requirements. Students are encouraged to meet with a Student Success Coaches one semester prior to the expected graduation date.

Throughout the year, the College hosts individual visits from admission counselors, representing over 30 colleges and universities. The College sponsors various college fairs per year. The Private Illinois Colleges and Universities (PICU) Fair features private transfer institutions.
