University Day 2023
Thursday, March 30, 2023 | 12 P.M.-4 P.M.
RECEIVE A CONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE ON-THE-SPOT!!
Students will have the opportunity to book a 15-minute one-on-one appointment* with a university admissions representative (students can meet with more than one university representative). All appointments will be face-to-face only. All students who participate in this event will receive a pre-admissions decision based on unofficial Morton College transcripts.* If a student receives a Conditional Acceptance, Morton College will mail your official transcripts for FREE to each school after the event (limit of 2 Official Transcripts per student).

*You must register by March 23, 2023, to be eligible to receive 2 free official Morton College transcripts (if conditionally accepted). On the day of the even, you will receive an unofficial evaluation during your meeting with the university rep. All official transcripts will be mailed to the university at the end of the spring semester.
If you have a HOLD or RESTRICTION on your account, you MUST clear the restriction ASAP. Otherwise, the college cannot release any of your official transcripts.

BenU scholarships: Automatic merit-based transfer scholarship consideration that range from $12,000-$16,0000. No separate application required for merit-based transfer scholarship and PTK scholarship, $2,000, consideration as they just need to send a picture of their certificate or have it posed on their official transcripts.

Scholarships are merit-based, and range from $3,000-$13,000 per year. An additional $1,000 is awarded to students that are members of Phi Theta Kappa.
DePaul is on a rolling admission basis for Fall applicants.
Please note: Music and Theatre students, as well those with international college credit, would not be able to receive a decision at this event as they have different admission offices and processes.

In order to transfer to GSU you must meet the following requirements:
- 24 or more semester credit hours of college coursework.
- 0 or higher cumulative GPA.
- Good standing at the last institution you attended.
*Some programs have application deadlines and require higher GPAs for admission.
Transfer Admission Guidelines:
- While we review applications holistically, most admitted transfer students have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. We especially look closely at a student's performance in major-relevant courses, as well as the relevance of their coursework to their intended major.

Automatic merit-based transfer scholarship consideration. $12,000 to $23,000 yearly merit scholarship awards for full-time students, and $1,500 PTK scholarship award. No separate application required for merit-based transfer scholarship and PTK scholarship consideration. Note: Dreamer scholarship is only available to admitted students after they receive their official acceptance letter via their application portal.

Transfer Application Process:
- Submit a free application for admission. Saint Xavier operates on a rolling admission basis for non-nursing transfer students. (Nursing deadline: April 1 for summer/fall semester, October 1 for spring semester)
- Send in official college transcripts from all institutions attended. Students with fewer than 30 credit hours are required to submit their official final high school transcript. Electronic official transcripts can be sent to admission@sxu.edu. (While we review applications holistically, most admitted transfer students have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher.)
- Applicants for our nursing program are required to submit additional information. A complete transfer nursing application may include: an official TEAS exam score, a Nursing essay of interest, letters of recommendation, and a resume/CV. Scholarships:
- Transfer Merit Scholarship: $10,000-$18,000/year based on academic credentials
- Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship: $19,000/year.
- Supersedes the Transfer Merit Scholarship Community colleges may provide additional scholarship opportunities (Chicago Star Scholarship, Crawley Scholarship, etc.).

Transfer Admission Requirements:
- To be considered for unconditional admission, a cumulative college GPA of 2.5 and satisfactory academic progress are needed.
- If a student has completed fewer than 24 credit hours, a high school transcript is required.
- An associate’s degree is not required for transfer admission, and Trinity will accept a maximum of 75 credit hours from a two-year college or unlimited credits from a four-year college or university.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship and Merit Tuition Scholarship note: students must apply to these scholarships after admission and are not guaranteed.
Fee waiver: We are no longer requiring students to fill out the fee waiver form and submit it to UIC for processing. The form has actually been removed from our registrar website. Students can simply request a fee waiver directly on the UIC transfer application by choosing waiver reason is applicable to them. No additional materials are required.
Our transfer application deadline for the Spring 2021 semester has been extended to November 2nd and our websites do reflect the extension date.
Private Colleges and Universities (PICU) Fair
The annual Private Colleges and Universities Fair (PICU), allows students to learn about their transfer options and meet admissions representatives from colleges and universities across Illinois. The 2019 PICU Fair took place on Wednesday, February 27.

lllinois Articulation Initiative (IAI)
The Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) facilitates the transfer of students from one Illinois institution to another. Both a general education core curriculum and a lower-division major recommendation course listing have been developed. For more information, visit the IAI website.
