Students and faculty have the ability to check out a wide variety of materials including books, DVDs, CDs, laptops, headphones and more. All you have to do is present your valid student ID or faculty ID badge and you are good to go!
We have laptops available for students to check out and use in the library. If you are interested please bring your valid student ID and license or state ID to the circulation desk at the library. Laptops loan terms are restricted to 5 hours a day.
Checking out materials is now easier than ever. Your valid student ID now functions as your library card. If you are a Morton student but do not yet have a student ID just bring your current class schedule to the Student Success Center (Building C, Room 213) and they will issue you an ID card. Faculty may use their ID badges to check out books as well
I-Share is library consortium Morton joined in the winter of 2013. One of the great things about being a part of I-Share is that Morton students and faculty members now can borrow materials from over 89 different academic libraries and institutions!
To begin borrowing you must first create an account which just takes a few moments. To start just click this link, and fill out the information requested. Be sure to select that you are affiliated with Morton College in the pull down menu.
Your borrower ID is the seven digit number on the front of your student ID card. Faculty members please call the library to obtain your borrower ID number.
Please get in touch if you have any questions during any step of the process. (708) 656-8000 ext. 2321
Patrons who wish to print will now be able to purchase credits stored on unique, re-loadable Morton College Printing Debit Cards. If your student ID card has a black stripe in the back, you do not need to purchase a debit card. Simply visit the Library's Help Desk and a staff member will encode the card for you. Black and white printing costs $0.10 a page while color printing costs $0.20 a page.
There are lots of ways we can help you get started with your research. We have research guides, lots of books and online materials for your use, and our librarians are on hand to help you find information that will help.
