Structure, metabolism, genetics, reproduction and evolution of microorganisms (bacteria,fungi, algae, protozoa and viruses). An emphasis is placed on their role in naturalprocesses and human affairs. Microorganism-caused diseases, helminths,immunology, methods of culturing, identifying and controlling microorganisms. Lecturethree hours, laboratory three hours per week.
