NUR-116 - Mental Health Nursing

Principles and concepts of mental health, psychopathology, psychopharmacology, and treatment modalities relating to nursing care of patients and their families. Emphasis is on assessment, communication techniques, promoting mental health, culture, caring, ethical/legal aspects, and the collaborative role of the nurse on a variety of settings. Prerequisite: Successful completion of NUR 107 and NUR 108. Lecture two hours per week; lab one hour per week.
