NUR-108 - Foundations of Nursing II

Foundations of Nursing II continues to focus on the concepts necessary for safe, patient-centered nursing care for a diverse patient population while integrating the legal and ethical responsibilities of the professional nurse. Care of the patient is evidence-based, and developmentally and culturally appropriate. The course builds on the principles of critical thinking as it applies to nursing, the nursing process, and therapeutic and professional communication. Application of knowledge and skills occurs in the nursing laboratory and in a variety of clinical settings. Prerequisite: Successful completion of NUR 107. Lecture three hours per week; lab four hours per week.
