What is Blackboard Learn?Blackboard is a web-based Learning Management System (LMS) that enables Morton College educators to provide students with course materials, class discussions, assignments and assessments online. Blackboard is a powerful tool that can enhance both on-campus and distance only learning experiences.
Blackboard Learn is the successor of previous Blackboard LMS CE8. Current version: Blackboard Learn ™ Course Delivery - Enterprise License (9.1.201410.160373).
By Jan., 2017 we will move our self-hosted Blackboard system to the cloud based Blackboard SaaS hosted by Blackboard Inc.

*Faculty NO LONGER need to fill out a course request form.You will have to fill out the online form only if you want to merge enrollment of multiple sections into one course site, or need assistance to copy content from previous taught course. Here is the link to the online merge enrollment form. Once multiple course sections are merged, making changes to the course ID, name, or section number is not recommended. So please make sure you have verified each course section number and be sure to enter correct information and click “submit” button only once! *Students’ last course access date is two weeks after the end of each semester. The end of access date will apply to all courses (16 week regular, late starting, and short-term courses) unless instructor make changes.
Nov 8, 2016 – add Spring courses into the Blackboard Learn (BbLearn). Faculty may access their course sites in Blackboard by the end of dayJan 17, 2017* – add student enrollment into the BbLearn. All spring courses set to available. Students start to have access to their spring course sites through the Blackboard LMS (depending on their course start-dates)June 5, 2017 – Last day that students can access their spring courses through the BbLearn. All spring courses becomes unavailable to student, faculty can still access their courses
* Due to Blackboard Migration in January, 2017, students will NOT have 5 days advance preview of the course sites in spring 2017.
April 11, 2017 – add summer courses add into the Blackboard Learn (BbLearn). Faculty may access their course sites in BlackboardMay 19, 2017 – add summer course enrollments into the BbLearn learning management system. All summer courses set to available. Students may access to their summer course sites through the BbLearn (depending on their course start-date)May 30, 2017 - Summer semester starts with 1st 5-week sessionAugust 21, 2017 – Last day that students can access their summer courses through BbLearn. All summer courses becomes unavailable to student. Faculty can still access their courses
May 18, 2017 - add fall courses add into the Blackboard Learn (BbLearn). Faculty may access their course sites in BlackboardAugust 15,2017 - Add fall course enrollments into BbLearn. Students may access to their course sites through the BbLearn (depending on their course start-date).August 21, 2017 - Fall semester begins
