Strategic Planning
Strategic Planning functions on a continuum to align College priorities and future initiatives to assure a viable, state-of-the-art institution that meets the needs of its changing community.
Strategic initiatives, defined through the strategic planning process and flowing from the College mission and purpose, directly guide and impact curricula, teaching and learning, student services, campus and physical plant operations through the implementation of annual plans.
Annual Review of the Strategic Plan
Strategic initiatives are reviewed annually and updated appropriately.

Assessment of Academic AchievementBudget Development
Budget Development begins as various revenue streams are examined by the appropriate fiscal officers of the College in order to evaluate any variances from the previous fiscal year. Taxes, tuition, state reimbursement and other streams are analyzed to establish a baseline for the subsequent budget.
At the unit level, a collaborative process of creating quantifiable goals is then undertaken and the results are written into Annual Plans. All areas are not zero-based therefore; each begins with the amounts from the previous year as a basis of initial consideration.
Regional Accreditation
Morton College is a member of and accreditated by the Higher Learning Commission: A Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
