Humanities and Fine Arts

Morton College's Humanities and Fine Arts Department faculty brings together a number of individual disciplines – general humanities, art, music, philosophy and theatre – to provide students with an educational background informed by an analysis of creative work and formal study that explores the human condition.

Humanities and Fine Arts courses help students fulfill program, certificate and degree requirements at Morton and provide the basis for further study at four-year institutions.

Graduates with skills developed in Humanities and Fine Arts coursework can choose from a wide range of careers. The Occupational Outlook Handbook projects that the number of humanities-related fields such as technical writing, public relations, digital media, social media and advertising, will grow at above-average rate for the next five to 10 years.
