  • Carrie Foote Sociology Scholarship Fund

    Awards $100 per semester to be used for academic purposes at the discretion of the recipient. Students who wish to apply for the scholarship should:

    • Be full or part-time students of Morton College
    • Be residents of the district
    • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
    • Have been admitted to an applicable Sociology Class

    Hawthorne Works Scholarship

    This scholarship is awarded to a Morton College student to be used for academic purposes in the study of the Arts. Scholarship is awarded annually.

    Frances A. and John M. Pechous Scholarship

    Established in 2013, the Frances A. and John M. Pechous Scholarship awarded one $8,000 scholarships to qualifying student who complete the college’s two-year nursing program. Donald E. Pechous, a longtime resident of Stickney and Berwyn has established this scholarship in memory of his parents. This scholarship is a one-time gift and has been awarded.

    Anne and James J. Zourek Scholarship

    The Anne and James J. Zourek Scholarship awards an $8,000 scholarship each year to a qualifying student who complete the college’s two-year nursing program. Donald E. Pechous has established this scholarship in memory of his late wife Carla's parents. This scholarship is a one-time gift and has been awarded.

    The scholarship committee carefully reviews each application received. The Friends of Morton Foundation typically receives many applications for these scholarships, and interested students are urged to apply as early as possible.
