The Friends of Morton Foundation exists to help fill critical needs of Morton College. The Foundation provides scholarships, supports academic and non-academic programs, purchases classroom equipment and holds its Annual Summit.
Building relationships with external donors, community supporters, foundations, public and private sector businesses is one of the Friends of Morton Foundation’s main objectives. We also focus on internal relationships for the betterment to expand awareness of Friends of Morton Foundation and build additional relationships. To be successful, we need your help!
We aim to successfully fundraise for Morton College to be able to increase the pool of money available for student scholarships, classroom equipment, project and capital needs, classroom equipment and special projects.
The Friends of Morton Foundation hosted its inaugural Chili & Chillin' Cook-Off on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Morton College.
The event focused on engaging the communities served by the College (Cicero, Berwyn, Forest View, McCook, Stickney and Lyons), and inviting their firefighters to participate as guest "Chili Pros".
Activities at the event included a DJ with party motivators, a coloring station, an interactive electronic gaming truck for 16-20 people, a football throwing contest, fire safety and nutrition education and other activities.
