Morton College's Campus Safety
Committee is comprised of approximately 30 staff members who attend a regularly
scheduled meeting to receive training and discuss campus safety issues.
Each member of this committee is assigned a
specific area of the campus and receives training in how to cope with emergency incidents. Each member is also assigned an emergency “go bag” that contains equipment and supplies to be used in the event of a long-term campus lock down.

This video, recently produced by the Houston
Mayor’s Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security, dramatizes an
active shooter incident in the workplace.
Its purpose is to educate the
public on how to respond during such an incident. Warning: The initial sequence in this video may be disturbing.
