• General Policies for Parents

    1. Children must be between three and five years old and toilet trained (recognize the need to use the toilet independently and without adult assistance).
    2. A parent must accompany the child into the room and remain until one of the staff greets the child. Child must be signed in and out on sign-in sheet every time.
    3. Parents must bring a complete change of clothes including underwear, socks, top/t-shirt and slacks that can be kept in the Center during the semester.
    4. Child Care Center bills will be ready and distributed to parents during the first week of every month and must be paid in full at the Cashier’s Office in Building A, 1st Floor within two weeks. Your child will not be allowed back if payments are not submitted by the 15th of the following month.
    5. A $25.00 late fee charge and a $20.00 returned check charge applies.
    6. The parent is responsible for notifying the Child Care Center of any changes in the initial class schedule or college activities via a hand written note or an updated class schedule. A verification of the child’s last day at the Center should also be submitted.
    7. CHILDREN MUST BE PICKED UP ON TIME. The Child Care Center is open Monday to Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. We allow a 15 minute grace time after pick up time. After 15 minutes, a $5.00 per minute charge applies (according to your class schedule).
    8. Please drop off your child no more than 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
    9. The parent/guardian must notify the Child Center if there is a change to the person(s) authorized to pick up a child. If a change is made, the Center will ask the newly authorized person for identification.
    10. The Child Care Center will charge you for the space your child is holding according to your class schedule. The only time that you will not be charged is on holidays when the college is closed.
    11. For the health and safety of all children enrolled, the Center reserve the right to re-evaluate your child’s participation at any time.
    12. Registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. In fairness to students waiting for admission to the child care center, if a child does not attend the center the first week he/she is scheduled to attend and the Center is not notified of the absence, the child’s space in the center will be forfeited.
    13. The Child Care Center must be able to contact parents at all times in the event of an emergency. Staff must be notified of parents' location on campus while children are at the Center. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the child’s dismissal.
    14. All required immunizations and medical records must be current and on file before a child is admitted to the Child Care Center.
    15. If a child becomes ill while at the center, parents will be called out of class to take your child home. For health reasons, children will not be allowed to return to the center until they are free of symptoms.
    16. If a child misses three (3) consecutive days without notification, the child will be dropped from the center. If space is still available, the child may be re-registered.
    17. Breakfast is provided only for those children who are scheduled to be in the Center at that time. Meals will be pre-ordered according to the number of children on the daily attendance sheet.
