Adult Basic Education (ABE)
These tuition-free pre-HSEC classes help students improve basic academic skills such as reading, writing and mathematics in order to transition the GED program. For more information, download the ABE/HSEC Brochure (PDF).
High School Equivalency Certificate (HSEC) formerly GED
HSEC classes help students prepare for the GED, TASC and HiSet exam test subjects – mathematics, science, social studies, arts/literature and writing skills.

English Language Acquisition (ELA) formerly ESL

Project CARE (Community Adult Reading Experience)
Project CARE is Morton College’s volunteer adult literacy program, which uses trained volunteer tutors to teach adult students seeking assistance with reading and writing,and/or adults require English Language Acquisition. For more information, download the Project CARE brochure (PDF).
Bridge to Healthcare Careers
The Bridge to Healthcare Careers Program introduces students to
careers in the field of health care while improving their academic
skills in preparation for taking the HSEC Tests (if required) and enroll in Morton College's Healthcare Career Certificate
